ONLINE BALLET CLASSES

 

Ballet is not only an excellent form of exercise, but an extraordinary way to enhance an actor's expressive body. Historically it was always taught alongside other forms of movement under Yat Malmgren at the Drama Centre. We are thrilled to welcome Master Teacher Glen Snowden to the Effort Productions Team.

 

During this difficult time, we want to keep our community safe, creative and active.  In order to do so, we have stopped face-to-face training, and are providing online training via Zoom.  All you'll need is a computer, phone, or tablet and an internet connection.  Any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch. ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS BALLET IN A SMALL SPACE

Fridays 5-6PM (British Summer Time) for the forseeable future!

Price: £6/class (or pay what you can)

Venue: Online via Zoom. All you need is a computer, phone or tablet, and a wifi connection.

 

This is a class for complete beginners in a small space.  While we are at home for longer periods of time exercise is vital.  It not only helps with fittness but helps with feeling better about ourselves.  Ballet is a great art form and now you can learn the barre work stage by stage at home.  The class is an hour long. You just need a barre, the top of a work surface or the back of a stable chair that is safe to use.  No need to worry about ballet shoes, some thick socks will do just fine if you don't have any.

BASIC BALLET  IN A SMALL SPACE

Thursdays 5-6PM (British Summer Time) for the forseeable future!

This class is suitable for those that have learnt basic ballet previously.  We will be doing barre work, learning set exercises for around 8 classes, and then start afresh so we can really work on the specificity of the exercise and its technique.  

 

As we are spending more and more time at home, to keep ourselves toned and healthy, Ballet Barre work is the perfect solution(and art form).  You just need a barre, the top of a work surface or the back of a stable chair that is safe to use.
